Notes from the Library Chair. Please check and see if you have any CML&MS books and return them this month. April is the last month the library will be available until the September meeting

After the April meeting ,you will have to contact the librarian to get books. In next month's newsletter there will be a list of books that have not been returned and who has them out and how long they have had them. We need those books back.

On a more pleasent note I wish to give a belated thanks to Jean Ann and Dave Pietrowski for the donation of the book ' tyrannosaurus Sue' and to Ed Drown for the donation of the book 'The Mineralogy of Michigan'. These will be available for check out at the March meeting.

The will be some books on the swap table, these are duplicates or older books, there will also be older magazines.

Note from Show Chair We wish to express a great big thank you to Bettie Patterson. She has donated the specimens which were left over from her recent sale to the CML&MS for the Silent Auction and the Childrens table. These many exceptional and interesting specimens will provide for spirited bidding for some time . Thanks also to Gordon Lewis for his help in moving the two car loads of material. Roger Laylin, show chair.

A big thank you to Field Trip chairman Ed Drown, for bringing "Michigan Relics" at the Michigan Historical center to our attention. 7 CML&MS members and one guest attended the field trip on Feb.21. There was a very interesting lecture on the Kensington Runestone and the "Michigan Relics" exhibit was great. If you have not been to the Michigan Historical Center, I

would strongly suggest you pay it a visit.

Pumpkin Angel Food Spice Cake

Pam 9x13 pan bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees

very good and good for you too

Thanks to Becky Aughenbaugh for the receipe and for bringing it to the January field trip.

FREEZE An elderly woman had just returned to her home from an evening of Church services when she was startled by an intruder. She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and

yelled,

Stop! Acts 2:38!" (Repent and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may

be forgiven.)

The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she

had done. As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar, "Why did you just stand

there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you."

Scripture?" replied the burglar. "She said she had an Ax and Two 38's!"
