available to view them.            (We found the microscope , it was hiding in Grits garage).

2005 SHOW REPORT

Thanks to each and every club member and friends of members who helped to make this the 40th, the Ruby  Anniversary , the show of the Dinosaur  a success.                                                                        Despite the lack of attention by the commercial media our paid attendance exceeded last years .  This can probably be attributed to “ SUE” and the fact that the Friday morning school attendance was well above  average.

Once again the conscientious  efforts of the members in charge of the various show elements

created  the successful results.  Special thanks go to Mary Gowans , Alan Hukill , Neil Snepp

and Elaine Angstman  for their preliminary and show time work to insure a great show .  Additionally

I counted and found that 57 members  actively participated during the four days  activities and I

have no idea how many friends  helped out on  Thurs. and Fri.  but that help was sure appreciated .  I

was glad to see that both Bessie Rogers and Al Stokes were able to attend.

There will be a Show Board  meeting  at the Laylins , 1770 Sandhill Road on Wednesday Nov. 30th at 7 P.M..  A wrap-up of  this years show and a discussion of  plans for 2006 will be held.  All members actively involved in the show and any member interested in becoming active are invited.

Again thanks to all for a job well done.           Roger Laylin , Show Chairman

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO 2005 SHOW COMMITTEES

Please submit all show bills to Alan Hukill before the November 17th meeting so the accounts may be closed.

From Sue Casler, Admission Ticket Chairperson

I would like to thank the following folks for their assistance in staffing the admission ticket table

Throughout the weekend of our show: Sally Hedin(friend of Sue C.), Karen Kanine, Stevie Staples (friend of Lee L.), Kris Wood – big thank you for the extra time she put in helping, Connie Snepp, Mary Gowens, and Roger and Lee Laylin – who were not signed up but helped out when needed. [I’m thinking there may have been a couple of other folks who covered for me while I “checked” out the silent auction and whose names escape me at the moment.]  A BIG Thank You to all of you!

Our attendance this year was up 135 from last year with a total of 1,021 (958 adults and 62 teens).
